History

The Rotary Cup Golf Tournament is one of the strongest traditions of the Rotary Club of Fort Myers. The first Rotary Cup tournament was held in 1934, and Rotary members and their friends have kept coming back to test themselves and each other. The tournament has gone through various forms and changes over the decades, with the current format and trophy emerging in 2011. Since then, each foursome that wins the tournament has had their names engraved on the cup. But the real winners are the local charities who benefit from the thousands of dollars the event has raised for community members in need.

All proceeds from the tournament go toward the Fort Myers Rotary Trust Fund - a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization that awards grants to various charitable causes throughout SW Florida. For more information on the Fort Myers Rotary Trust Fund, please click here.
