Rotary Club of Fort Myers Donate $50K for Crisis Intervention for Teen Moms in Uganda!

The Rotary Club of Fort Myers donated $50,000 to 10 18 Uganda to fund the purchase of land and open a Literacy program, community center, and library, and make a safe place for young women and men.

10 18 Uganda Mission
Our ultimate mission is to change the culture that says that girls are not valua￾ble enough to be sent to school, to be kept from sex work and pregnancy, and to be safe from abuse and trafficking.

Ten Eighteen is focused on these critical areas in Uganda:
* Crisis intervention for teen moms in the Namuwongo slum
* Vocational training and Literacy programs for teen moms and teen girls
* Free programs that bring holistic health and literacy, such as a clinic, daycare, intern￾ship placement, counseling and peer groups, and entrepreneur development programs

We also provide food and infrastructure assistance for at-risk children in two extremely impov￾erished schools in Western Uganda.
